Praise the Lord Brethren,
Our Communion and Foot Washing Service is scheduled for Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 10 am. This is announced now so that all members can adequately prepare to participate fully in the sacred service. Please note that the time will be 10 am so there will be no Sunday school on that day.
We have not had this opportunity in the last few years with the many restrictions that we have had due to the COVID-19 Pandemic so we must remind ourselves of how important this meeting is and how to prepare to participate. With this in mind, our Bible Study that is scheduled for Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 7 pm will be focused on this topic. Time will be allotted for questions and answers.
I desire that every water and Spirit-filled baptized member here at the United Apostolic Church will make the necessary preparation to be present as we commemorate the Lord's death while humbly ministering to each member of the Lord's body.
As is our practice, we will be having a congregational fast during the first week of December, we are also encouraging all members to be on fasting on Sunday, December 4th, 2022. Members who cannot go without eating for an extended time due to medical conditions are excused from fasting.
"23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, [d]“Take, eat; this is My body which is [e]broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes" - 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 (NKJV).
