Grace and peace be multiplied unto you, from our great God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
We will commence the final stretch of our 16 days of Fasting and Prayer on Wednesday, January 26 through Friday, January 28, and on Sunday, January 30th, 2022. Our theme is “Make Him Known” derived from the verse in Ezekiel 38:23 where the Lord says, “Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be Known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord.” Our Focus this week is for God’s Direction for 2022 for our leaders both spiritual and governmental. We are praying that our Spiritual leaders will “Make Him Known” to thecommunities where they provide leadership and that our Governmental leader’s eyes and ears will be opened to God’s will and that they will lead with equity.
We will focus on praying for a mighty outpouring of God’s anointing in the lives of our leaders. It is our prayer that God will give our leaders clear vision and direction for the body of Christ for 2022. If never a time we need the manifestation of God’s will in the lives of our leaders, it is the present! As our leaders give themselves to God, we have no doubt that the will of God will be manifested in and through them.
We want to pray that our leaders will preach and teach the word of God without compromise. The Apostle Paul gave Timothy a young Pastor a very solemn charge recorded in 2 Timothy 4:1-3.
This is the last days, and many are not enduring sound doctrine. However, this does not give us the liberty to stop doing what we have been commissioned to do by the Almighty God. We know the task especially in these times may be daunting, however, we must be a source of encouragement to our leaders. We want to display to our leaders the same attitude that Aaron and Hur displayed as they held up the hands of their leader Moses, which resulted in Israel’s victory (Exodus 17:12). When we have spiritually strong leaders the church will reap the benefits.
The reason for the Lord stepped out of eternity into time is to provide salvation to fallen humanity (2 Peter 3:9). Therefore, we are praying that all our UPCI Pastors and their congregants within our District will develop a burden for the resident in their church community to be saved. We are praying that our missionaries will stay the course and propagate this great Apostolic truth.
While it is important that we pray for those who has spiritual authority over us, it is just as important that we pray for our governmental leaders, who enact laws that will affect us as Christians. The Bible also admonish us to Pray for all those who are in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Not only are we to pray for them to pass laws that are beneficial to the church, but we must pray for the salvation of them and their family.
The church is in the best place for revival to take place. So, let us as we humble ourselves with prayer and fasting, bring the needs of this nation to the Lord Jesus Christ that His divine will be established in the earth.
