Grace and peace be multiplied unto you, from our great God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
This month we will engage in our first 3 days of Fasting and Prayer commencing on March 1st until March 3rd, 202. Our theme is “Be Ye Steadfast.” Our main scripture is 1 Corinthians 15:58 which states, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
Saints, if ever a time we need to remain steadfast and unmovable it is the present. To be steadfast and unmovable is to be firmly fixed and not subject to change, to be firm in belief and determination, being incapable of diverting from our primary purpose or mission.
Our purpose should always be to please God, who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. We must understand when we take on the name of Jesus Christ, our lives are no longer our own, but instead, we are governed by the Almighty God. It is no longer our will but His will be done. We cannot afford to deviate from God’s path for our lives. We read in Job 23:11 “ My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.” We want to ensure that our lives are in alignment with God’s will and purpose.
As we seek to be steadfast and unmovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord, let us also seek to fulfill His mission. The Lord clearly declares that He came to save those who were lost. As believers, we are called to fulfill the great commission. St. Matthew 28:19- 20 – “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” We cannot afford to sit around and be idle. God is depending on us to reach our world with the Gospel. We are called to be light in the darkness. Jesus declares that we are the light of the world (St. Matthew 5:14). Therefore, we ought to let our light shine so God will be glorified. It is also important that our life mirrors the Word of God.
Ephesians 6 gives us key ingredients which will assist us in remaining steadfast. On this journey, we will need to take the shield of faith; which will allow us to quench the fiery darts of the wicked; the helmet of salvation; and the sword of the Spirit, (which is the Word of God, and we know the Word of God is the mind of God). So, if we need to know His will for our lives, we must align ourselves with His Words. The Apostle Paul reminds us that we are unable to kick against the prick (Acts 9:5) and be successful.
Lastly, we need to be praying always with prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watch with all perseverance. The last clause of James 5:16 declares “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”. We are also reminded in I Thessalonians 5:16 that we should “pray without ceasing”. We must commune with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ daily and as we commune with Him; He will give instructions. There are so many distractions that the enemy of our soul is presenting to us as believers to cause us to lose sight of God’s Words, will and purpose for our lives. But the Apostle Paul encourages us to remain resolute in our walk with God. Galatians 6:9 states “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” It is important that we stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free and not be entangled with the affairs of this world (Galatians 5:1). We must understand that this world is not our home, we are just pilgrims passing
through. So, as we turn our plates down and our hearts up to receive from the Lord during these three days of prayer and fasting, let’s seek to be steadfast and unmovable and reach our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We will spend portions of each day engaging in self-examination, seeking forgiveness, and renewal. (Isaiah 58)
You are being asked to pray at least three times per day every day; Morning, Noon, and Evening/Night. Please make a
special effort to participate in all prayer sessions.
We do pray that we will all discipline ourselves and participate as extensively as possible in this endeavor.
Members who are taking medications are encouraged to consult with their doctors before participating in fasting. If your doctor advises you against fasting, we encourage you to give full participation in praying each day for the prayer needs previously stated.
God bless you richly!
