Re:    3 DAYS OF PRAYER AND FASTING
------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 through Friday, May 6th, 2022, we will be engaging in our 3 days of fasting & prayer as a congregation. Our theme is “Endure Unto The End”. We need to keep these words from Jesus at the forefront of our minds as many in this last day are departing from the Faith, being deceived and tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine. Many are also falling captive to sin and yielding to temptation. In Matthew 24, Jesus was warning his disciples about the signs of the end of the world and said in verses 11-13 “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Jesus was forthright about how challenging it would be to stand in the last days. Our forefathers of the Faith also admonished us to hold onto our our Faith despite the pressures of this age.

In 1 Timothy‬ ‭4:1‬ the Bible says “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;”. So we cannot let our guard down. We must know the Word and remain connected to God in prayer. In 2 Timothy‬ ‭3:1 the Bible says “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. We need to be sober and vigilant, being watchful, even of those we associate with as they can cause us to lose our way. ‬‬‬‬
‭Later in the chapter the Apostle Paul warns us in 2 Timothy‬ ‭3:12-14‬ “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them”. Our society will continue to become more amoral, and we will be criticized for living out our Faith and preaching the Truth. But let us not become intimidated by the persecution we suffer for striving to live righteously in this day. We want to remain anchored in Chris and not get weary in we’ll doing. ‬‬‬‬

In Matthew‬ ‭24:22‬ ‭Jesus says “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.”‬‬‬‬
‭‭We know the enemy is determined to wear our the saint of God. Many antichrists have gone out into the world. We have to wrestle against spiritual wickedness in high places. But we are able to stand. The Holy Ghost is powerful enough to keep us from falling prey to satan’s devices. We don’t need to fear the enemy and what he claims he will do to us. 1 John‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭says “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” If we resist the devil he will flee from  us and Jesus has given us power to resist evil since he prayed for us in John‬ ‭17:15‬.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
‭‭‬‬‬‬
Let’s not get weary, complacent or lose our Faith at this last hour. We are admonished to look up, for our redemption draws nigh. Many are departing from the Faith, comprising in lifestyle  and doctrine, but let us not allow ourselves to be swayed by the crowd. In Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭Jesus encourages us to follow the narrow way and strive so we can enter into the Kingdom of God. We need to hold onto our Faith and remain anchored. The Bible says the night is far spent the end is at hand. Let’s keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, and not get distracted. Because the race is not for the swift, nor the battle for the strong but he that endureth unto the end. ‬‬‬‬
