“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” - St. Matthew 11:28.

We will participate in three days of prayer and fasting from Wednesday, April 9, to Friday, April 11, 2025. Each session will begin at 5:00 AM with congregational prayer on the Prayerline and conclude at 5:00 PM.

The focal point will be “Wait on the Lord.” We read in Psalms 27:14, 14  Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD”.

"While waiting on the Lord can be challenging, remember that every moment spent waiting is filled with purpose when God is at work. Trusting in His timing transforms our waiting into a powerful growth and faith journey. Embrace this time, for it is never wasted with God involved." God is sovereign; He has the power, wisdom, and authority to do what He chooses with His creation. Psalms 138:8 reminds us, "God will perfect that which concerns me.” So, if something is concerning or upsetting you right now, know that God is perfectly capable of taking care of it. The adversary of our soul wants us to believe that God does not care while we are going through a difficult period in our lives. However, we are reminded that God is our ever- present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). David encourages us not only to wait on the Lord, but he goes a step forward to say - be of good courage, and He will strengthen our hearts

We must understand when God appears silent, it does not mean He does not hear our cry for deliverance. However, it is in this season that we build our testimony. It’s recorded in Job chapter 23:8-10 8  Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: 9  On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: 10  But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold”.

Waiting on the Lord has many benefits, and waiting helps us to cultivate patience, an aspect of the fruit of the Spirit, as we learn to trust in God’s timing and not our own. Sometimes, God may delay fulfilling our requests to prepare us for what we’ve requested. This preparation could involve personal growth, spiritual maturity, or readiness to handle the blessing or responsibility. Waiting on the Lord also helps us to build endurance and resilience, enabling us to weather life’s storms with a stronger faith. Another benefit to waiting on the Lord is that it allows us to align with His will. Sometimes, our request may not align with God’s will for us. Thus, God may delay or deny our requests for our ultimate benefit.

As we await the Lord's answer to our varied issues, let’s maintain an attitude of hope and expectancy, believing that God will answer in His time. God’s timing is always perfect. He is never late! So, as we embark on these three days of fasting and prayers, let’s trust God’s timing. And focus on these prayer points
